11. Education and academic achievements
The narrative below explains how my studies connect to later support, writing, and systems work. The complete academic record preserves every graded course, both work-experience entries, term totals, and the credential trail; the links within this chapter lead directly to those details.
11.1 Mohawk College and the technical foundation
I studied Computer Systems Technician - Network Systems at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in Hamilton. My resume lists 2020 to 2022 and identifies the co-op diploma. The transcript, issued January 25, 2023, records an Honours Ontario College Diploma for program 455 in Fall 2021. The program trail retains those details separately pending confirmation of the preferred education date range.
The program combined networking, systems administration, programming, web technologies, communication, and IT service practice. The transcript shows a move from the non-co-op program in the first two terms to the co-op program from Fall 2020, followed by two work-experience terms and the final academic term. It records “R,” meaning Requirements Met under the applicable legend, for both work-experience entries.
11.2 Networking and infrastructure
My recorded networking courses include Introduction to Networking, TCP/IP Internet Services, Network Infrastructure, Wireless Networking, and Cisco Routing and Switching. Their grades are 94, 98, 96, 90, and 85 respectively in the course table. This group is relevant to the later support work involving enterprise environments, device connectivity, directory integration, and network-related investigation. The connection is a description of the technical foundation, not a claim that the transcript documents every later workplace skill.
11.3 Systems servers and virtualization
Virtualization and Fundamentals of UNIX each have a recorded grade of 100. UNIX Administration is 96. Microsoft Server Administration Parts 1 and 2 are 94 and 86, and Email Server Administration and Web Server Administration are each 97. These subjects connect naturally to my service desk and product-support experience with servers, directory services, Exchange, virtual machines, and hosted documentation environments.
11.4 Programming web communication and service practice
HTML & CSS is recorded at 99 and Programming Fundamentals at 93. Math for Computer Studies is 96, and Discrete Math & Statistics is 100. The communication and practice courses include AC - Communications, Part B at 86, Computer Training & Tech Wrtng at 87, Project Management for IT at 92, and ITIL Client Support at 91. The exact abbreviated transcript titles and codes are retained in the full academic course table.
My resume describes UNIX, Python, ITIL, and CCNA coursework with top-of-class performance. The transcript details related programming, networking, and service-practice subjects; the complete academic record shows their recorded titles and grades.
11.5 Electives and the complete record
The academic record also includes History of War & Society 20thC at 85, Introduction to Anthropology at 92, and Introduction to Sociology at 97. They remain in the master because the objective is to preserve the full educational record, rather than retain only courses directly associated with technology.
All twenty-three numerically graded courses and both non-numeric work-experience entries are included in the complete academic record, with their credits, term totals, and program trail. Personal student-identification and address details remain in the original transcript and are not duplicated as career content.
11.6 Honours and grade wording
The transcript explicitly awards the honours diploma. Its notes define an Honours Graduate as achieving an overall weighted average of at least 85 percent with no failures. Recorded academic-term GPAs are 93.6 in Winter 2020, 96.7 in Summer 2020, 91.1 in Fall 2020, and 93.0 in Fall 2021.
My resume reports Dean's Honours in all semesters, a 93.5 percent CGPA, and a Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The transcript awards the honours diploma and shows four graded-term GPAs; their displayed totals yield an approximate weighted average of 93.59 percent. The complete academic record includes the exact term values and award wording.
11.7 Co op and continuing learning
The two work-experience requirements connect the academic record to the RWDI co-op story. The course and work-experience table establishes that the requirements were met; the resume identifies the employer, duties, and recorded period. Neither should be used alone to establish an exact eight-month duration.
I have also planned further Azure learning, including an AZ-104 study plan and cloud-career research.
